Young Changemakers to Attend VBYLD 2026 at Bharat Mandapam

Kolkata: The West Bengal contingent of over 45 selected young leaders was ceremonially sent off to New Delhi to participate in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026, scheduled to be held from January 9–12, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam. The send-off ceremony from West Bengal was organised at the iconic Victoria Memorial, marking a proud moment for the State’s youth.

The programme was graced by Shri Anup Kumar Saha, MLA, Dubrajpur, who extended his best wishes to the young changemakers embarking on this national platform. Addressing the gathering, Shri Saha highlighted the scale and significance of the initiative, stating that over 50 lakh youth participated across India, out of which 15,000 progressed to the State-level rounds. From this pool, 45+ outstanding young leaders from West Bengal have been selected to represent the State at the national dialogue in New Delhi. Shri Saha noted that the selected participants will engage in presentations and idea-sharing sessions during the four-day programme. He stated that these young leaders are not just participants, but key stakeholders to the vision of Viksit Bharat, carrying forward ideas rooted in innovation and nation-building.

The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, the second edition of the reimagined National Youth Festival, has been conceptualised as a platform to connect young Indians with policymakers and national leadership. The programme will feature thematic deliberations, expert interactions and presentations across multiple domains aligned with the nation’s long-term development goals, with the concluding ceremony to be graced by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.
